Nestled in a historic neighborhood in central Omaha, the Regency House was originally built in 1974 and, over the years, underwent multiple renovations and additions that left it with an eclectic mix of styles and little cohesive identity. To restore harmony and better reflect the character of its surroundings, the redesign unified these disparate elements into an elegant, colonial-inspired whole.
On the exterior, classic limestone and board & batten siding compliment the material quality of nearby homes, while the copper-roofed porch actively engages the street, simultaneously pulling the livable space outward and beckoning neighbors in.
Inside, warm wood floors and intricately detailed casework set an upscale yet inviting tone throughout. Rich, reclaimed brick fireplaces punctuate the intimate gathering spaces, adding both historic texture and a sense of comfort. Together, these details create a refined yet cozy environment, seamlessly blending the Regency House into its storied neighborhood while elevating its architectural presence.
