A bold earthen-red fireplace anchors the central living space, where sunlight illuminates a global art and textile collection. A three-story tower, inspired by regional grain silos, offers sweeping prairie views and a tranquil retreat for observing bird migrations.
The detached studio, filled with natural light and strong axial connections to the landscape, supports advanced textile artistry. Here, large-scale ikat tapestries are created using specialized dyeing processes and a custom fly loft for handling monumental works. The studio’s output appears in major public installations and international collections, while also serving as a hub for workshops and lectures.
Beyond the home and studio, the property hosts naturalist groups for ecological studies and plans to welcome artist and research residencies, fostering deeper connections to the land’s beauty and history. Through stewardship and creative engagement, the site’s legacy as a place of cultural and ecological significance is ensured for generations.

I think also the fact that he does both commercial and homes and he appreciates both of those.
